PT - Physical Therapist

Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift: 4x10-Hour (08:00 - 18:00)

The Physical Therapist will work in an acute care hospital setting with a daily census of approximately 80 patients. The therapist is responsible for evaluating and implementing treatment plans for patients recovering from orthopedic and neurological conditions, as well as ensuring discharge and reassessments according to patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapy interventions and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding rehabilitation and safety practices.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care in the electronic medical record system.
• Assist with mobility and rehabilitation goals for post-operative and geriatrics patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• Valid California Physical Therapist license required.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Experience with patient ratio of 8:1 and familiarity with Epic charting system is preferred.
