Summary You will serve as a Tool and Parts Attendant in the Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic of FLTREADCEN DET MID ATLANTIC PAX RIVER. Responsibilities You will provide tooling services to enable production processes within a manufacturing facility to be as efficient as possible. You will implement continuous process improvement solutions for the toolroom. You will manage daily operations, solve technical issues, maintain tool history, implement safety rules and housekeeping procedures, and conduct audits while also fulfilling tooling and HAZMAT requests Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work without more than normal supervision performing duties such as: 1)Applying applicable regulations, policies and procedures relating to Hazardous Material and Hazardous waste to prevent injury; 2) Reviewing, initiating and filling material requests provided by production artisan, tool cribs and other sources for the depth of repair/rework; 3) Selecting peculiar hand tools, measuring devices, support equipment and hardware utilized by the Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment trades; 4) Determining substitutions and interchangeable items in the absence of requested items that fit the requirements; 5) Utilizing various manufacturer catalogs, cross-reference and specification manuals to research and requisition material. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.
