About The Role

We are looking for a driven, articulate, and resilient Sales Development Representative (SDR) to serve as the engine of our sales pipeline. In this role, you will be the first touchpoint for prospective healthcare clients, initiating relationships with key decision-makers (physicians, clinical directors, practice administrators, and health system executives).

You will combine strategic outbound outreach with data-driven prospecting tools to build trust, articulate Basata’s value proposition, and qualify leads for our Account Executive team.

As a ground-floor team member, you won't just follow a sales playbook—you will help write it.

What You’ll Do

• Outbound Prospecting: Identify, target, and engage key decision-makers across healthcare organizations via phone, email, LinkedIn, and video.

• Lead Qualification: Conduct discovery calls to uncover customer pain points, evaluate operational bottlenecks, and qualify prospects based on fit, budget, and timeline.

• Pipeline Generation: Book high-quality discovery calls and product demonstrations for Account Executives to meet monthly pipeline goals.

• CRM Management: Maintain accurate activity tracking, contact details, and account insights in our CRM (HubSpot).

• Messaging Optimization: Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to test outreach channels, refine email copy, and tailor value propositions specifically for healthcare stakeholders.

• Event Support: Assist in driving attendance for webinars, industry trade shows, and healthcare conferences.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 1–2+ years of outbound sales development experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, HealthTech, digital health, or medical technology.

• Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to navigate gatekeepers and build immediate credibility with clinical and non-clinical executives.

• Startup Mindset: Highly adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where processes are evolving.

• Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with modern sales tech stacks (e.g., Salesforce/HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) and AI productivity tools.

• Grit & Curiosity: A fast learner eager to master complex healthcare workflows and resilient in the face of cold-calling rejection.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
