Job Summary Multi‑Craft Maintenance Technician – Day Shift As a Technical Expert on the floor, you will troubleshoot complex systems, lead repairs, and drive continuous improvement across our high‑speed processing, filling, and packaging line. Responsibilities Serve as the go‑to technical expert for equipment reliability, responding to unplanned downtime and breakdowns. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on high‑speed processing, filling, and packaging systems. Diagnostic troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, PLC, and control systems to identify root cause and implement lasting solutions. Design, fabricate, and install equipment improvements, including welding and machining components. Support and lead planned shutdowns and major maintenance activities. Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to optimize equipment performance. Use data and problem‑solving tools (e.g., 5 Whys, analytical troubleshooting) to drive continuous improvement. Maintain accurate documentation using work order and inventory systems. Mentor and train team members, sharing technical expertise. Ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies and procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred (mechanical/electrical or equivalent experience). Experience in manufacturing maintenance, ideally in a regulated environment (food, pharma, etc.). Strong skills in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, reading schematics, PLC diagnostics, and basic programming. Proficiency in welding, fabrication, or machining. Familiarity with predictive maintenance tools (vibration analysis, alignment, etc.) preferred. Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic environment. Position Details Shift: 12‑hour Day Shift (6:00AM–6:00PM) with a consistent 4‑week rotation providing every other weekend off. Location: Casa Grande, Arizona. Compensation Base pay ranges from $20.85 to $41.75 per hour, with variations by location.
