Shipping Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Shipping Supervisor to lead outbound operations within a fast-paced distribution environment. This position is responsible for ensuring orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time while leading a team of warehouse associates and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who enjoys being on the warehouse floor, developing employees, and improving processes to support customer satisfaction and business goals. Responsibilities Supervise day‑to‑day shipping operations including picking, packing, staging, and shipment processing. Lead and develop a team of 16–40 warehouse associates. Manage labor schedules and staffing plans to support daily shipping volumes. Monitor key performance indicators including on‑time shipments, order accuracy, productivity, and fulfillment metrics. Coordinate outbound shipments with UPS, FedEx, USPS, and LTL/FTL carriers. Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and safety procedures. Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and shipping software to support efficient operations. Troubleshoot shipping issues and implement corrective actions as needed. Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for process improvements and increase operational efficiency. Prepare and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in shipping, warehouse, or distribution leadership. Previous experience supervising employees in a warehouse or distribution center environment. Experience with shipping systems, WMS platforms, and inventory transactions. Strong knowledge of parcel and freight shipping processes. Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive results in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication, coaching, and problem‑solving skills.
