Work assignments, days, times, and locations vary. The School has clinical instructional opportunities for well-qualified nurse educators Tues. through Sun. - morning, afternoon, and evening - in our expanding undergraduate program. Candidates must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. Please note, if you apply for this position, you may not hear from the department until there is a need to hire an instructor.**What you'll do and what you'll bring:****Position Description:**Part-time, contract faculty member with appropriate nursing specialization to teach in undergraduate courses. Work assignments, days, times, and locations vary. Faculty responsibilities include teaching in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments in baccalaureate courses for adult health, medical-surgical, psychiatric mental health, pediatrics, critical care, childbearing families, and other courses as appropriate.**Duties and Responsibilities:*** Teach in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments in baccalaureate courses.* Keep abreast of recent developments in nursing and incorporate into teaching.* Actively contribute to the professional life of the School of Nursing, the College of Health, and Ball State University.**Minimum Qualifications:*** Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university by the date of appointment; AND* Clinical nursing experience in area of teaching; AND* Ability to communicate effectively**Preferred Qualifications:*** Teaching experience in higher education;* Earned doctorate in nursing or related field from an accredited college or university.**Required Certifications/Licensures:*** Current unencumbered State of Indiana Registered Nurse License by date of appointment.**How to apply:**Please follow upload instructions to attach all of the required supporting documents listed below:**IMPORTANT: To ensure accurate processing of your application, do not rely on a resume upload to populate the job experience section.
