The Opportunity:

With all the information available today, it takes a skilled linguist to know how to find and interpret the best data to give their clients the right answers. That's why we need a linguist like you to support critical decision-making. As a linguist, you use your specialized language, technical experience, and your attention to detail to develop technical translations to give your client the actionable intelligence and context they need. If you have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to support our client.

As a Technical Linguist on our team, you’ll use your language skills in translation to enable better analytic understanding of various systems. You’ll validate information and apply client tradecraft as you build technical translations. As the authority on technical translations, your client will look to you for time-critical recommendations, often under pressure.

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience translating technical documents and systems manuals
• Experience translating large documents
• Ability to decipher highly technical documents
• Ability to show a score of 2/2 on the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) in the Chinese Mandarin language
• Top Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

• Experience working with the U.S. Army
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
