Registered Nurse OncologyJob Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Clinic Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: CA RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), PALS required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience of at least 4 years - Experience with Epic charting system - Required travel experience - Chemotherapy certified nurse Description: This is an outpatient infusion center position. The role requires administering chemotherapy and managing patient infusions. You will need to demonstrate skills in accessing and managing ports. You should have experience with patient education and support. Other required skills include the administration of blood products and chemotherapy. You must be able to recognize and manage side effects of treatments. The daily census of the unit is approximately 11 patients. Successful candidates will work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. Neutropenic precautions and infection control practices are essential. Strong communication skills are necessary for phone triage and patient interaction. Candidates should have experience with a variety of cancer diagnoses. You will be expected to complete work history verification for the past 7 years.
