Title: SAP Transportation Management / TMS Systems Analyst

Location: Chandler, AZ – Hybrid

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000 annually

Position Overview

Phoenix Staff is seeking an experienced SAP Transportation Management / TMS Systems Analyst to support the implementation and integration of a new Transportation Management System within a global manufacturing environment. This technical/functional role will focus on SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM), its integration with Infios Transportation Management (formerly MercuryGate), and the data and processes required to support global transportation operations.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on SAP TM expertise, experience integrating transportation platforms, and a strong understanding of international logistics. This includes ocean freight, carrier rates, freight costs, transportation modes and lanes, freight audit and payment processes, and applicable international shipping and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and integration of SAP TM with Infios Transportation Management.
• Build, maintain, and validate SAP master data used for transportation planning and execution.
• Analyze transportation data flows across SAP, Infios, and connected systems, including field mappings and interface requirements.
• Assist with the design, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of system interfaces and integrations.
• Support global transportation processes across domestic and international freight operations, including ocean transportation.
• Address system requirements related to carrier rates, freight costs, transportation lanes and modes, international shipping, and regulatory considerations.
• Support freight audit and payment activities by validating carrier invoices, reconciling freight rates and charges, and confirming transportation data across SAP and TMS platforms.
• Collaborate with Transportation, Supply Chain, SAP, IT, and implementation partners to translate operational requirements into effective system functionality.
• Diagnose and resolve integration failures, master-data issues, and data discrepancies between SAP and Infios.
• Participate in system configuration, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), implementation, and go-live support.
• Develop strong functional expertise in Infios and transition into ongoing platform administration and support responsibilities.
• Maintain system configurations, master data, technical and functional documentation, and post-implementation enhancements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience working with SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM).
• Experience integrating SAP transportation capabilities with external TMS or logistics platforms.
• Strong knowledge of SAP transportation-related master data and how that data impacts downstream transportation systems and processes.
• Experience supporting global and international transportation operations beyond domestic ground freight.
• Working knowledge of ocean freight and over-water transportation processes.
• Understanding of international transportation requirements, including carrier rates, lanes, transportation modes, freight costs, shipping documentation, and regulatory considerations.
• Experience with freight audit and payment processes, including carrier invoice validation, freight-rate reconciliation, and transportation payment workflows.
• Experience working with enterprise system interfaces, integrations, and data mapping.
• Proven ability to investigate and resolve data and integration issues spanning multiple enterprise applications.
• Experience supporting enterprise technology implementations through testing, UAT, deployment, and go-live.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical IT teams and transportation, logistics, and supply-chain stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Direct experience with Infios Transportation Management or MercuryGate.
• Experience configuring, administering, or providing functional support for Infios/MercuryGate.
• Experience integrating Infios/MercuryGate with SAP.
• Familiarity with integration technologies and methods such as APIs, EDI, IDocs, SFTP, and middleware platforms.
• Transportation systems experience within a global manufacturing or supply-chain environment.
