Level: Experienced | Location: Indianapolis, IN 46203 | Position Type: Full Time | Education Level: 2 Year Degree | Salary Range: $20.00 - $22.00 | Travel Percentage: None | Shift: Day | Category: Purchasing - Procurement Buyer – Fastener Division Job Overview Regular hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 – 5:00. Competitive salary. Impactful role interacting with external suppliers and internal team members from sales, customer service, and accounting to provide customers with needed products in the most cost‑effective and efficient way. Essential Functions Handle purchasing needs from multiple suppliers for multiple locations. Run reports daily for purchasing needs and update purchase orders with supplier acknowledgements. Analyze purchasing trends to make informed decisions on purchasing quantities. Communicate clearly with sales reps, vendor reps, inside sales, and accounting across multiple locations. Update ERP system with current costs and adjust replenishment methods and quantities. Understand freight methods and policies to minimize freight costs. Process supplier returns. Follow up on past due purchase orders and obtain updated delivery information. Other duties as may be deemed necessary by manager. Benefits Competitive salary.
