Scope of Responsibility The Estimator compiles and analyzes information on jobs regarding costs and specifications. They assist in resolving problems with orders and aid Sales Managers by addressing customer concerns. Essential Duties Assures accurate estimates by gathering specifications, drawings and related documents for complete project information Compiles project costs by analyzing project details using company computer hardware and software Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information in order to detect problems with costing methods, assumptions and procedures Presents prepared estimates to the Regional Sales Manager by assembling and organizing numerical and descriptive cost information in a format approved by the company Aids assigned Regional Sales Manager by facilitating customer requests and addressing questions or concerns via customer phone call, email or facsimile Contributes to the team effort by effectively communicating and working well with members of the Estimation group as well as other departments and personnel to accomplish assigned tasks and projects as needed Performs other duties as assigned.
