Salary: $110,000+ depending on experience

Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite & Field-Based

Travel: Continental U.S., typically less than one week at a time

About the Role

\n

We are seeking a High Voltage Service Engineer to join a specialized power systems testing team in Bethel, CT. This is a hands-on engineering and field service position supporting the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of high-voltage testing equipment.

\n

\n

The ideal candidate has a strong electrical engineering background, enjoys solving technical problems, and is comfortable working independently at customer locations.

\n

\n

Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Install and commission high-voltage AC, DC, and impulse test systems
\n
• Troubleshoot and repair high-voltage test systems down to the PCB level
\n
• Diagnose electrical and electronic issues involving industrial controls and power electronics
\n
• Provide technical support to customers by phone and email
\n
• Assist with onsite power-system testing
\n
• Perform maintenance and testing of medium-voltage switchgear
\n
• Document service activities and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
\n
• Travel throughout the continental United States, typically for less than one week at a time
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
\n
• 3–5 years of field service, testing, engineering, or related experience preferred
\n
• Familiarity with high-voltage test equipment and testing techniques
\n
• Knowledge of PLC and microprocessor-based industrial controls
\n
• Understanding of power electronics
\n
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
\n
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
\n
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
\n
• Comfortable with domestic travel
\n
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
\n

\n

FE or PE license and a Master’s degree is a plus but not required.
