This hospital maintains the clinical infrastructure and established protocols necessary to support locum tenens gastroenterology coverage across both inpatient and outpatient settings. The facility is structured to ensure continuity of specialized care for an adult patient population, with NP support available in the inpatient unit to assist with clinical operations. On-site resources are in place to facilitate coordinated gastroenterology care delivery throughout each assigned coverage period.

The area offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and cultural attractions suited to varied interests. Nearby destinations include Barren Ridge Vineyards, the Blue Ridge Tunnel, and Shenandoah National Park, providing opportunities for hiking, cycling, and exploration of the natural landscape. Clinicians will also find antique markets, local vineyard experiences, agricultural destinations, kite festivals, live music events, and farm-based activities available throughout the year, offering accessible options during time away from clinical responsibilities.

The gastroenterologist will provide a blend of inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology coverage on a 24-hour shift basis at this on-site facility, with call coverage required as an integral component of the assignment. Clinical documentation is maintained through the Epic EMR system. The shift structure runs from Monday at 7:00 AM through the following Monday at 7:00 AM, with NP support available in the inpatient unit. Board certification in Gastroenterology is required for all clinicians considered for this role.
