You will serve as the Electrical Engineering Lead on program and a senior technical authority within our Electrical Engineering organization. MFC is a recognized designer, developer, and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. This role is suited for an accomplished Electrical Engineering professional who can operate as a player/coach—personally driving the most challenging hardware architecture and root-cause work while leading IPT efforts, mentoring staff-level engineers, and ensuring mission-critical hardware meets the highest standards of reliability and performance.What You Will Be DoingThe Senior Staff Electrical Engineer will serve as the principal electrical hardware technical lead across a portfolio of missile, launcher, and sensor programs. Responsibilities may include:• Serving as the Electrical Engineering Lead or Chief Engineer for one or more major defense programs, owning technical execution across development, production, and sustainment phases• Directing system-level architecture and interface definition across multiple concurrent programs, ensuring configuration compatibility across missile, launcher, and sensor platforms• Leading complex root-cause investigations of hardware and software failures spanning multiple programs, and directing engineering changes through Configuration Control Boards• Owning technical oversight of subsystem suppliers across a program portfolio, ensuring prime contract requirements flow accurately and hardware meets specifications• Chairing or serving as senior technical voice on Failure Review Boards (FRB), Material Review Boards (MRB), Risk & Opportunity Boards, Configuration Control Boards (CCB), and Corrective Action Boards (CAB)• Partnering with Program Managers to balance cost, schedule, and performance across multiple concurrent task orders and programs• Leading or contributing to competitive captures and IRAD strategy, including technical volume authoring, basis-of-estimate development, and technology maturation roadmaps• Mentoring and developing mid-career and staff-level electrical engineers, fostering engineering excellence and a collaborative team culture• Representing electrical engineering in customer-facing engagements, technical interchange meetings (TIMs), and program milestone reviewsWhy Join UsDo you want to be part of a company culture that empowers employees to think big, lead with a growth mindset, and make the impossible a reality? A company-sponsored Interim Secret is required to startBasic Qualifications• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university; Master’s degree strongly preferred• Minimum 8 years of professional experience with electrical hardware design or a closely related discipline (or 6+ years with a Master’s degree in a related STEM field)• Deep expertise across multiple electrical engineering domains, that could include: - Electrical hardware design for development and production phases in aerospace or a similar industry - Complex electrical schematics for circuit card assemblies (CCA), harnesses, and system-level interconnects - Root-cause analysis and corrective action for hardware and software failures - Material Review Board (MRB) dispositioning of non-conforming hardware• Demonstrated experience as the electrical engineering technical lead on a major effort, with responsibility for system architecture, integration, and sustainment across a program• Strong hands-on skills with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies, and automated test equipment• Demonstrated ability to lead IPT efforts across multiple concurrent programs, present to program leadership and government customers, and manage multiple priorities• Experience supporting proposal development, including technical volume authoring, basis-of-estimate, and competitive technical strategy on major hardware captures• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to brief executive leadership, customers, and non-technical audiences• Must be a US Citizen; must be able to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearanceDesired Skills• Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field• Cross-Business Area engagement and large-program technical-lead experience• Experience with MFC circuit card design processes and the Design Assurance process at the program-ownership level• Exceptional communication skills — ability to professionally communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy to executive audiences• Experience with missile systems or hypersonic weapon systems across a program portfolio• Project management skillsets including leadership, planning/organization, risk management, and financial acumen at the program level• Experience applying Control Account Management (CAM) and EVMS methodologies• Successful proposal/capture leadership experience (BOE, technical volume authoring, technical strategy) on major hardware programs• Demonstrated ability to lead technical investigations to determine root cause of hardware and software failures across multiple programs• Experience developing system-level architectures and grounding diagrams at the platform level• Demonstrated effectiveness as a “player/coach” working with minimal supervision in fast-paced, multi-program environments• Strong mentoring track record with mid-career and staff electrical engineers• Experience with supplier management that could include international partners• Knowledge of process improvement methodologyPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
