Pathology Assistant

Pathologists Assistant The Pathologists Assistant will work in a laboratory environment. The primary responsibility includes the gross examination and dissection of small biopsies. The position will involve working mostly with benign lesions, along with some cases of colon cancer resections and native livers. There will be some procurement for research and selecting tissue from points of contact for karyotyping. Biopsy grossing may be required depending on staffing needs. Occasionally, cancer cases from another lab could be sent to this laboratory for grossing. However, the focus will primarily be on benign cases and biopsies. Candidate must be aware of the urgency of the fingerprinting process. Immediate cooperation with credentialing is essential to avoid scheduling delays. Two professional references are required, including one from a manager or director. No coworker references will be accepted. Candidates currently employed in the organization are not eligible for this travel assignment.
