Demand Planner

Abbott seeks a Lead Demand Planner to develop and execute demand planning strategies for high-volume and complex product portfolios. The role involves forecasting, stakeholder engagement, and continuous process improvement to align demand with business plans and supply capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts by analyzing historical data, market intelligence, and cross-functional inputs
• Engage business stakeholders to clarify demand drivers and ensure forecasts reflect agreed business assumptions
• Conduct demand scenario analysis and risk assessment for new product launches and international expansion
• Partner with Supply Planning to ensure demand plans are feasible and aligned with capacity and inventory strategies
• Monitor demand performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning effectiveness

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field, or associate's with 2 years relevant experience, or high school diploma with 4 years relevant experience
• 8 years of demand planning, supply chain planning, forecasting, or related discipline experience
• Demonstrated experience developing demand planning strategies for complex or high-volume products
• Ability to operate autonomously and make decisions with limited or evolving information
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
• Currently authorized to work in the United States; unable to sponsor employment visas

Compensation: $99,300.00 – $198,700.00 base
