About the Role:

Rajal J Patel DDS PA is looking for a skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice in Orange, NJ. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced dentist in a patient-focused environment where your skills and professionalism truly make a difference. Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, and preventive care
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms between patients
Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) following proper safety protocols
Record patient medical histories, treatment notes, and updates in dental software
Educate patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene practices
Manage dental supply inventory and ensure operatories are fully stocked
Support front office functions including scheduling and patient communication as needed

Requirements:

Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification or license in New Jersey
Experience with dental four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting
Proficiency in taking dental radiographs (X-rays); radiation certification required
Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records (EHR)
Strong knowledge of infection control, sterilization, and OSHA compliance
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment with a positive, team-oriented demeanor
