Senior Associate, Project Manager - SBB Data Evangelization

As a Senior Associate of Project Management, you will serve as a vital operational and strategic partner to help evangelize our data program and execute high-priority projects for the Small Business Bank (SBB). You will blend project management with strategic communications to drive top-of-house initiatives that fuel our ambitious data transformation agenda and enrich our culture. The Role:

Capital One’s SBB is seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Senior Associate to join its Data team and help build the new Data Evangelization function. You will work alongside leaders to craft the SBB data story, evangelizing services while executing top business priorities. You’ll partner closely with key stakeholders across the organization to deliver across project objectives, escalate appropriately, and gain buy-in. You will also play a central role in managing governance routines and tracking objectives and key results (OKRs).

General Responsibilities:

• Drive operational excellence: Build and manage project frameworks ensuring high-priority data initiatives stay on track.
• Partner cross-functionally: Provide tactical thought partnership and influence stakeholders across various levels to work toward common goals.
• Manage governance: Oversee internal and external-facing governance routines like Monthly Business Reviews, OKR tracking and strategy reporting.
• Power internal communications: Advance the data communication strategy and implement creative solutions to reach target audiences and foster relationships with adjacent teams.
• Craft the SBB data story: Identify themes and leverage data insights to inform narratives and build thoughtful content. 
• Enrich the culture: Support programs and routines that ensure connectivity, enrich the associate experience, and assist in cross-functional project design.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
• At least 1 year of Project Management experience
• At least 1 year of Communications experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Military experience
• At least 2 years of Project Management experience
• At least 2 years of Communications experience
• At least 2 years of experience working with cross-functional teams
• PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

This role is designated as a hybrid position. You are expected to adhere to Capital One's hybrid policy regarding required on-site presence at your designated office location .

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Sr. Project Manager

Richmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Project Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
