Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology

Chemotherapy Treatment Nurse

Schedule: 10-hour days, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 30 hours per week, with the possibility of up to 40 hours biweekly

Requirements:

• Valid MA License
• Chemotherapy certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of oncology experience
• BLS certification
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy treatments to adult patients in an ambulatory setting.
• Monitor patients during treatment for adverse reactions or side effects.
• Provide education and support to patients and families about treatment plans and side effects.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation is held weekly, on Mondays, barring holidays.
• All RTO requests must be presented at the time of submission.
• Parking may incur costs of up to $43/day.
• Candidates who have worked for the facility as permanent or per diem within the last year are not eligible; a one-year separation is required.
