We do this through an emancipatory approach across our teaching, scholarship, and service. Lecturer for Computer Science Authorization courses LCOE has developed a 4-course series to fulfill the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) requirements to obtain a Computer Science Authorization. The adjunct faculty for CS Authorization courses will be in charge of teaching the courses that have been approved in a hybrid modality. The following responsibilities must be fulfilled by the candidates: The candidate must demonstrate awareness and experience understanding the needs of a student population of great diversity – in age, abilities, cultural background, ethnicity, religion, economic background, primary language, sexual orientation, gender identity, and academic preparation – through inclusive course materials, teaching strategies and advisement. Faculty shall organize all their classes within the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS). All classes must be offered and meet as scheduled throughout the entire semester or term, in the mode assigned and listed in the schedule of classes (i.e., asynchronous, synchronous, bichronous, in-person, or hybrid). Required Qualifications M.S. Degree in Computer Science or a related field Experience working in the K-12 school environment Experience in teaching computer science content to K-12 students and/or college students Experience in teaching computer science education curriculum to K-12 teachers and other educators Experience developing professional development and academic courses in computer science education Applicants should demonstrate an awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching and other comparable experience. Anticipated starting salary: L‑A / Range 2 - $5,507 - $5,959 L‑B / Range 3 - $6,221 - $7,481 L‑C / Range 4 - $6,825 - $9,431 L‑D / Range 5 - $8,593 - $10,347 Range salaries above are the anticipated monthly salary rate of full-time AY faculty--part-time rates are prorated.
