MRI TechnologistBase Pay Range: $36.95 - $55.43The MRI Technologist is a Full-Time, Regular position working either Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from 8:30am-7:00pm, or Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 7:00am-7:00pm, at our Inland Imaging Tri-Cities location.Summary: To obtain the safest and highest quality MRI exams under the direct or indirect supervision of a radiologist per established Inland Imaging Associates, LLC guidelines and protocols. Performs procedures for the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Department.Essential Duties / Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Performs MRI studies that meet or exceed the standards set by the interpreting radiologist(s)Follows MRI safety guidelines at all times and ensures all staff and patients in MRI department are following safety guidelinesFollows established protocols for individual MRI examinationsPrepares equipment and room for exams: Ensures proper coil is available in exam room for appropriate studySets up sterile trays and room prep for invasive proceduresStocks room with supplies and linensInterviews and assesses patient for MRI exam Obtains procedure consentReviews patient preparation checklist prior to procedurePerforms parenteral procedures i.e. contrast injections, IV starts/removalPhysically assists patients on or off the MRI tablePhysically lifts MRI coils onto table and/or onto patient for appropriate exam as neededCommunicates with patient during exam to ensure little to no movement and patient comfort levelCompletes all exam paperwork Builds patient exam work listChanges exam codes in Medicalis system as appropriateAppropriately codes exam for billingAdds charges for medications and contrast as appropriateAdds presentation state into Intellispace for radiologist to readCommunicates effectively with Team Leader and Director regarding problems or issues with equipment, protocols or patientsAssists in the transportation of patients as neededMust be available to work at any location or any shift to meet the needs of the company including taking callPerforms other duties as assignedGeneral Duties and Responsibilities:Ability to maintain strict confidentiality within the Inland Imaging companies and Inland's customers.Honest, pleasant manner and good personal hygiene.Free of alcohol and drug abuse.Ability to access multiple worksites in a timely manner.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Detail oriented; ability to multi-task, organized, and able to work in a fast paced environment.Demonstrates self-directed learning and participation in continuing education through professional journals, approved seminars, etc.Ability to consider individual needs in communication with and assessment and treatment of patients of all ages.Adheres to departmental standards and personnel policies by demonstrating professional demeanor in conduct and appearance.Follows company departmental standards and personnel policies by using good teamwork and communication skills to help identify concerns and solutions, assisting where needed to ensure a smooth functioning department.Follows all Health and Safety policies and guidelines of Inland Imaging or its partners depending on work location.Performs other duties as required by displaying team spirit and self-growth, accepting and performing other projects and responsibilities, and requesting other projects and responsibilities.This position may be required to work in a hospital, urgent care or clinical setting.Attendance is required for this position.Rotates to other shifts and locations as needed.Supervisory Responsibilities:There is no supervisory responsibility in this positionAdvocacy:Treats all patients and coworkers with dignity and respect Provides excellent customer service Conforms to Joint Commission and HIPAA regulations Complies with PHI (Protected Health Information) Demonstrates the Inland Imaging Core ValuesShow We Care, Do The Right Thing, Maximize Individual Potential, Challenge ConventionQualifications:Education: AA Degree preferred or Military education/training equivalent Accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or equivalent on the job experience required necessary to pass the ARRT (R)Experience: One year as a practicing MRI Technologist requiredAnatomy and medical terminology preferredMedical office experience preferredUnderstanding of MRI procedures to be read by radiologist preferred.Certifications: Must maintain current ARRT (R), (MR) Current CPR/BLS requiredLicensure: Must maintain current Washington State Certified Radiologic Technologist LicenseComputer Skills: Experience with the following computer applications is highly desired: Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook; Workday; Medicalis; Intellispace;; EPIC; Qgenda; Workday, Internet/Intranet; WebexBackground Check: Must be able to pass a background check required by RCW View phone number on click.appcast.io to work with children under the age of 16, developmentally disabled persons or vulnerable adultsIn order to comply with provisions set forth in Sections 1128 and 1156 of the Social Security Act, all new employees of Inland Imaging Clinical Associates, LLC will be checked against the LIST OF EXCLUDED INDIVIDUALS provided by the Department of Health & Human Services, Office of the Inspector General (OIG).
