Job Title: Senior Site Contracts Associate

The Senior Site Contracts Associate manages the end-to-end delivery of investigator contract templates, protocol pricing, payment terms, and training to local negotiation teams and RSU leads, supporting contract and budget negotiations for clinical research studies. This role provides specialized legal, operational, and financial contract support, develops contracting strategies and pricing approaches, and facilitates collaboration between sponsors, stakeholders, and RSU regions and countries to ensure successful delivery of the agreed project scope in compliance with regulatory and sponsor requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of investigator contract templates, protocol pricing, payment terms, and training to local negotiation teams and RSU leads to support contract and budget negotiations for clinical research studies.
• Provide legal, operational, and financial contract support to study teams and related functions, ensuring site agreements enable efficient business development, trial initiation, and maintenance while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Develop and coordinate investigator grant estimates, contracting strategies, and proposal text to support the proposal development process and business development activities.
• Draft and refine contract language, payment language, and budget templates as required for site agreements and clinical trial contracts.
• Utilize and maintain contracting systems, tools, processes, and training materials for selected sponsors, studies, or multi-protocol programs according to the Scope of Work and Project Plan.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant clinical site contracting experience with a sponsor or clinical research organization, including demonstrable global and/or regional experience as a contract negotiator.
• Proven experience in site contract and budget negotiation for clinical research studies.
• Strong expertise in contract management and clinical trial agreements, including amendments and site contracts.
• In-depth understanding of clinical research and clinical trial operations as they relate to contracting and budgeting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience providing legal, operational, and financial contracting support to study teams and business development functions.
• Background in vendor management within a clinical research or clinical trial environment.
• Ability to create and review scientific, technical, and administrative documentation supporting proposals and study initiation.
• Experience developing and delivering training materials related to contracting processes, systems, and tools.
• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to deliver clear and engaging presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Comfort working with multi-protocol programs and complex, global or regional contracting strategies.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered for candidates who meet the experience requirements.

Work Environment

This is a remote position that allows you to perform all responsibilities from a home or off-site office environment. You will work extensively with electronic contracting systems, CTMS, databases, and tracking tools, collaborating virtually with sponsors, stakeholders, and RSU teams across regions and countries. The role involves regular online meetings, document review, and system updates, requiring a reliable internet connection and a professional, distraction-free workspace.

This is a Contract position based out of Durham, NC.

The pay range for this position is $47.00 - $48.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
