Travel RN - Operating RoomAmerican TravelerShenandoah, Iowa, United StatesAssignment type: travelShift: DaysLength (weeks): 13$2,846.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Operating Room for a 13-week assignment requiring circulator experience and an IA or compact RN license.DetailsOperating Room unit with 4 OR rooms performing Ortho, GYN, Urology, General, Cataracts, Pain injections, ENT and OB procedures5-10 surgical patients per dayDay shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PMNo scheduled weekend shiftsCall rotation with variable hours, every 3rd weekendWhen on weekend call, only 1-2 weekday shifts scheduled that weekCandidates may be low censused up to one full shift in a two-week periodAltera charting system experience preferredRequirementsActive RN license - IA or compact license required in-hand at time of considerationMinimum 2 years of experience required, 3 years preferredRequired certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALSCNOR certification preferredCirculator experience requiredAmbulatory OR and general OR experience requiredCommunity hospital experience preferredEpic charting experience preferredExperience in GYN procedures including hysterectomy, colporrhaphy, tubal ligation, C-sections, D&C, and laparoscopic procedures requiredPreferred specialty experience in ENT, Endoscopy, GYN, Podiatry, and Orthopedic proceduresSkills in blood administration, cardiac monitoring, infection control, laser and radiation safety, specimen handling, IV starts, universal protocol, catheterization, and wound management requiredAt least 2 professional references within 3 years of start date requiredAdditional InformationCirculate surgical cases across multiple specialties including Orthopedic, GYN, Urology, General Surgery, ENT, and Ophthalmology proceduresParticipate in call rotation covering emergency management, code response, and fire safety protocolsAdditional PACU and Preop skills preferredNo P/F orientation testing or pre-hire modules requiredNon-billable orientation modules (4 hours) completed prior to startRequired certifications must be obtained prior to start dateNo RTO permitted during the first week of the contractLocal candidates accepted at the same pay rateFirst-time travelers are not being considered for this positionPrevious permanent staff may return as travelers after a 6-month separation
