Relationship Banker I

Summary The Relationship Banker I is responsible for conducting teller transactions and cash vault transactions accurately and timely. The incumbent provides exceptional customer service while following Bank policies, maintaining controls, and mitigating risk. The incumbent helps customers achieve financial goals through the sales and servicing of bank products and services and works with the branch team to achieve team and individual scorecard goals. Principal Accountabilities Responsibilities are weighted as follows: 40% – Handling customer transactions, maintaining and balancing cash drawers and vault, reconciling discrepancies. 15% – Identifying needs of new and existing customers and offering appropriate products and services. 10% – Assisting with internal controls and daily report follow-up, handling night depository deposits and other operational duties. 10% – Consistently demonstrating the Bank’s Right by You quality standards by providing superior customer service. 10% – Mitigating losses through accurate work and adherence to policies, controls, and regulatory guidelines. 10% – Achieving individual and/or team financial, production, and relationship results relative to specific metrics and goals. 5% – Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED with one year of cash handling and customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Qualifications Strong relationship skills. Basic math and computer skills. High level of accountability, efficiency, and accuracy. Exceptional time management, communication, and customer service skills. Must maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor. Must complete teller training classes. Ability to pass a background check. Preferred Qualifications Strong sales skills.
