Job Details Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) Employment Type: Travel Assignment Location: Roswell, New Mexico Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,880 - $1,980 Start Date: September 14, 2026 Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend Charting System: Epic Job Requirements Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or a compact state; pending compact/New Mexico license accepted if obtained prior to start Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required Strong experience with L&D, LDRP, mother/baby, postpartum, and obstetrical triage workflows Ability to work night shift and provide safe care in a fast-paced hospital environment Epic charting experience required Previous charge nurse experience preferred Travel nursing experience is welcome, and first-time travelers are encouraged to apply Responsibilities Provide high-quality care to laboring patients, postpartum families, and newborns Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean section recovery Support couplet care, breastfeeding education, and newborn assessments Perform obstetrical triage and respond to changing patient needs Monitor and document patient status accurately in Epic Assist with circumcision site checks, thermoregulation, and newborn hypoglycemia management as needed Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, efficient patient care Maintain a calm, professional approach while supporting patients and families during an important life event Why Apply for This Travel RN Job?
