Electronics Assembler

We are currently looking for a skilled Electronics Assembler to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. Location: Chesapeake, VA 23323 Compensation: $21/hr Schedule: 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Role Overview Working with minimal oversight, you will be responsible for constructing electronic components and small-gauge wiring at both the system and sub-assembly levels. You will execute repairs and system upgrades by strictly adhering to assembly guidelines and Mil-standard technical drawings. Requirements Follow both written and verbal instructions to ensure project success. Interpret complex engineering schematics, wiring diagrams, connector pin-outs, and wire lists. Utilize your mechanical and electrical assembly background to build complex Navy shipboard systems, including populated chassis, component boards, and thru-hole CCAs. Demonstrate proficiency in crimping contacts, mechanical assembly, and soldering techniques. Operate standard hand tools, soldering irons, and crimping equipment effectively. Maintain familiarity with J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 soldering standards, and IPC-A-620 wire and cable requirements. Apply your soldering expertise to ensure high-quality connections, with preference given to those holding current certifications.
