Step into a day on the CTOS team in Union Grove, WI

You roll in early, coffee in hand, and your shift kicks off between 5:00–6:00 AM. The crew syncs up on shop priorities and field calls. By mid-morning, you might diagnose a PTO engagement issue on a Peterbilt chassis, swap hydraulic lines on a Terex digger derrick, or chase an intermittent electrical fault on an Elliott boom truck. After lunch, a field ticket comes through — you head out to a customer site to get a bucket truck safely back in service. Back at the shop, you lend a hand on a custom upfit and lay a clean weld bead on a bracket that will see years of hard work. It’s Monday–Friday, it’s hands-on, and it matters — the fleets you support keep North America running.

What you’ll work on

Truck chassis: Medium and heavy duty

Crane & equipment manufacturers: Load King, Terex, Manitowoc, Elliott, National Crane

Equipment types: Boom Trucks, Cranes, Bucket Trucks, Digger Derricks, Utility Trucks, Specialty Equipment

You don’t need to check every box — strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn go a long way.

• Truck & chassis repair
• Hydraulic systems
• Electrical troubleshooting
• Welding and fabrication
• Preventive maintenance and diagnostics

Education & how you got started

• High school auto, welding, construction, or shop programs
• Vo-Tech or trade school training
• Military mechanical training and experience
• On-the-job mechanical experience
• Personal projects, racing, farm, or hobby mechanic work

Licensing & tools

• Valid driver’s license required
• CDL is a plus
• Personal mechanic tools preferred, especially for heavy equipment or utility truck repair
