Position Overview

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring for a notable healthcare organization seeking a Medical Assistant to support a busy outpatient clinic in Irving, TX . This role is ideal for a patient-focused professional who enjoys working in a collaborative clinical environment while providing exceptional care and supporting providers with both clinical and administrative responsibilities.

The Medical Assistant will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient clinic operations, deliver outstanding patient care, and maintain compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize exam rooms for daily patient care activities.

• Welcome and room patients while obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and other pertinent clinical information.

• Assist physicians and nursing staff with examinations, treatments, and office-based procedures under the direction of a licensed medical provider.

• Recognize patient needs or concerns and communicate relevant information to providers and members of the clinical care team.

• Accurately document patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical environment.

• Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, privacy, and confidentiality standards at all times.

• Deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring a positive patient experience.

• Assist with general administrative and clinical support duties as assigned.

• Complete required compliance and mandatory training.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant Certification , or the ability to obtain certification within 180 days of hire .

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire ).

• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

• Knowledge of medical terminology.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

• Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in fast-paced or emergency situations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient, ambulatory, or physician practice setting.

• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.

• Bilingual language skills preferred.

• Experience working within an electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 35 pounds with assistance.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.

• Manual dexterity to perform clinical procedures and operate medical equipment.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in an environment with occasional exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Position Type: 3-Month Contract with potential for extension based on business needs and performance

• Location: Irving, TX

• Patient Home Visits: None

Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.30 per hour
