About the Clinician's Workday The physician associate will provide comprehensive inpatient cardiovascular care during day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, delivering non-ICU general cardiology floor coverage. Daily responsibilities include rounding on all floor-level cardiology patients, completing progress notes, event notes, admission H&Ps, consults, and discharges, while ordering medications, tests, and procedures as appropriate. The clinician will perform new consults alongside the attending physician, managing patients primarily on step-down and cardiology units with support from Hospitalist Medicine, Cardiology, Pulmonary Critical Care, and Cardiovascular Surgery services.
