Veterinary Technician
South Maui Animal Clinic is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Role Responsibilities:
- Animal Handling
- Pre- and post-operative patient care
- Creating and presenting financial options and estimates
- Accurately entering service charges into client processing database
- Extensive client interaction and education
- Preparing medications
- Taking X-Rays of animals
- Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments prescribed by our in-house veterinarians.
- Drawing blood samples for testing
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- At least one year of veterinary experience
- Knowledge of basic veterinary practices, procedures, and terminology
- Team Player
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- A commitment to outstanding client service
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
