Job SummaryResponsible for establishing and overseeing the governance framework for all public-facing digital properties managed by the Communications and Marketing department. Provides oversight of the systems and standards that guide how web content is created and managed, including the development of training, documentation, and resources that enable contributors to follow established expectations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDefine, guide, and assess standards, processes, and practices that govern how web content is organized, maintained, and evaluated across Communications and Marketing digital properties to ensure alignment with institutional brand and communication priorities.Support contributors by creating a structured and sustainable environment for consistent and compliant content management and providing structured approaches to content audits and quality improvement initiatives.Guide content lifecycle governance and ongoing content stewardship, supporting a sustainable approach to maintaining accurate, relevant, and effective web content over time.Partner with the IT Accessibility Office to implement and support accessibility standards aligned with WCAG and ADA requirements across Communications and Marketing web properties.Partner with stakeholders to support accessibility improvements and remediation efforts.Develop and deliver training programs for content contributors and create supporting materials, playbooks, and documentation.Identify patterns and systemic issues affecting content quality and consistency and recommend improvements that support a cohesive, accessible, and sustainable web presence.Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.QUALIFICATIONSEducation & Experience· Bachelor degree in Communications, Marketing, Information Technology or related field required· 4 years web content management experience required, preferably within a higher education or similar environmentLicensing & Certification · Valid Texas Driver LicenseSpecial Skills · MS Office Programs· Information Management Systems· Content Management System (CMS) Proficiency· Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)· Project Management Competencies · Delivering High Quality Work· Accepting Responsibility· Serving Customers· Supporting Organizational Goals· Driving Continuous Improvement· Acting with Integrity· Thinking Critically· Managing Change· Communicating EffectivelyWorking ConditionsGeneral Office.
