Lead Engineer - Automation Systems, Cell Therapy Devens

( Responsibilities Technical lead and subject matter expert for process automation systems and equipment (DeltaV, PI, BAS, and integrated process equipment). Lead substantial technical efforts (e.g., major system upgrades, new process introductions). Integrate with cross-functional site teams to perform qualification and validation. Troubleshoot automation systems supporting Manufacturing; participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation. Support audits as a front room representative. Required Qualifications / Skills 5+ years experience with DeltaV, PI, BAS, and OT Infrastructure. Expert understanding of S88, S95, and batch processing operations. Expert knowledge of engineering documentation (P&IDs, network diagrams, process flow diagrams, SOPs). Expert knowledge of Validation Lifecycle Management (planning, IQ/OQ/PQ execution). Experience with QMS systems (Veeva or similar) and GMP Quality Processes (Deviation Management, Change Controls, etc.). Ability to troubleshoot network/control systems from field elements through operator interfaces and databases. Experience with IT ticketing systems (ServiceNow or similar). Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills. Preferred Control system networking/PC networking; SQL/Server/Oracle/relational databases. Validation Lifecycle Management systems (Valgenesis or similar). Building automation systems; .Net scripting. Education Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent. 5–7 years experience with control systems (DeltaV, PI, BAS, PLCs) in pharmaceutical/biotech. Compensation Devens, MA, US: $131,370–$159,187.
