Generalist OB/GYN Positions in Los Angeles County

Summary:

We are seeking a full-time generalist obstetrician and gynecologist to provide full-scope OB/GYN outpatient services at various sites in Los Angeles Health Services (LAHS). The sites include High Desert Regional Health Center in Lancaster, Roybal Comprehensive Health Center in East Los Angeles, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Outpatient Center in South Central Los Angeles.

Candidates should have experience with prenatal care, surgical consultations, and office-based procedures such as colposcopy, hysteroscopy, endometrial biopsies. While primarily outpatient, these positions offer the opportunity to dedicate up to 20-30% of time to hospital-based services in LAHS, which may include supervising residents in clinic, Labor and Delivery coverage and/or gynecologic operative procedures. The candidates will work collaboratively with Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Certified Clinical Midwives, including provision of consultation and decision support when needed. Other qualifications for strong candidates include Spanish language fluency, and experience working in safety net health systems.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency program

• ABOG board-certified or board-eligible

• Active or ability to obtain a California state medical license

• Individuals who will contribute to an academic, energetic, and creative multi-disciplinary faculty

• High Desert Regional Health Center (HDRHC) is an outpatient care center within the Ambulatory Care Network of the Los Angeles County Health Services, including primary and specialty clinics, an Ambulatory Surgery Center, and Urgent Care services

• Located in central Lancaster, HDRHC serves the Antelope Valley, including exurban communities of Lancaster and Palmdale, and rural communities of Lake Los Angeles and Littlerock. About the Edward R. Roybal Comprehensive Health Center:

• The Edward R. Roybal Comprehensive Health Center (ERRCHC) provides outpatient primary care for adults and children and specialty care for adults including women's health, optometry podiatry, complex diabetes, cardiology and medication-assisted therapy for substance use as well as Urgent Care services.

• Located in East Los Angeles, ERRCHC serves the East Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley.

• The Women's Health Clinic at ERRCHC provides full-scope outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care in conjunction with the Los Angeles General Medical Center.
