Work Environment

The work setting for this position is completely remote, offering you the flexibility to manage your schedule while meeting the needs of your clients. Our clinic has adapted to modern therapy delivery methods, utilizing telehealth technology to provide consistent care. You will engage with clients through secure video conferencing tools and maintain an organized workflow using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document sessions and track treatment progress consistently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to gain a full understanding of clients' needs, preferences, and treatment goals.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans featuring evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered therapy.
  • Engage in one-on-one counseling sessions, as well as facilitating group therapy and psychoeducational workshops to enhance community support.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to provide a comprehensive support system.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies when necessary, ensuring the immediate safety and stabilization of clients in distress.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records that adhere to all ethical and legal guidelines, utilizing established EHR systems.
  • Participate actively in professional development opportunities, team meetings, and case consultations to continually advance your clinical expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clinical practice will involve working with a diverse range of clients experiencing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. By using culturally informed practices, you will provide support to individuals, couples, and families, ensuring their unique backgrounds and needs are considered in treatment planning.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders and therapeutic treatment modalities.
  • Proven experience conducting assessments and crafting effective, individualized treatment plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a remote format.
  • Sound ethical judgment, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Familiarity with telehealth practices and proficiency in EHR systems.

Preferred Experience

  • Master's or doctoral degree in a relevant mental health field.
  • Experience in outpatient settings, particularly with a focus on diverse populations.
  • Prior involvement in crisis intervention or emergency response within a mental health framework.
  • Past participation in continuing education to stay abreast of emerging industry practices and research.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
