Operating Room RN – Surgery
Schedule: Block scheduling. On-call required: Weekdays: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Weekends/Holidays: either 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM or 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
Requirements: Minimum 2 years OR experience. Active compact nurse license. Required certifications: BLS. Preferred certifications: ACLS. References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years.
Roles & Responsibilities: Provide care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in various specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, and trauma. Function as both a circulator and scrub nurse during surgical cases. Monitor patients during procedures and assist in emergency situations. Administer medications and manage patient care equipment. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient outcomes.
Compliance / Notes: Orientation: 24 hours (pre-start/compliance). Previous permanent staff from this organization are not permitted to work as travelers. Pre-start modules: Required, average of 16 hours to complete.
