Requirements ** Seeking Licensed Candidate: Yes Oregon license is required to be in hand at time of present in order to get someone in ASAP Expected start date: ASAP the department needs coverage as soon as we are able to get a locum. We have gaps now and are willing to fast track/urgent credential as needed. Provider Type – MD/DO Specialty Surgery Pediatrics FTE needed 1.0 Inpatient: 0.75 Outpatient: 0.25 Daily Shift Standard: 24-hour call 7am-7am – But see schedule below for more information Expected duration of assignment Approval is good for 6 months Reason for opening Gap in coverage Schedule /Shift hours: These will be 24-hour 7am-7am call shifts. Start and end times can be flexible if needed. It would be ideal to have one week coverage at a time. Our typical rotation is Monday-Sunday. If we have someone coming regularly we would also want them in clinic/elective OR during their call week. This is what our current surgeons do. Clinic days is typically 10-12 and 1-3 4 hours of clinic total. Type of privileges: clinic/hospital Setting: Inpatient Outpatient If Inpatient # of beds: 390 Call requirement Yes Rounding admissions or none? Both Patient demographics Patients include infants children adolescents and young adults requiring elective urgent and inpatient pediatric surgical care from across the regional service area. Average patients per day: 1-5 Required Procedures The Pediatric Surgery program provides evaluation and surgical treatment for a broad range of pediatric conditions including general pediatric surgery neonatal and congenital conditions gastrointestinal procedures soft tissue and skin lesions trauma-related surgical care emergency surgical interventions and other elective and urgent pediatric surgical procedures. Services include outpatient consultations inpatient care operating room procedures and 24/7 emergency coverage to support the hospital and regional referral network. Required clinical activity in the last 24 months case logs Applicant must provide documentation of provision of pediatric surgery services representative of the scope and complexity of the privileges requested during the previous 24 months applicants who completed training during the previous year must provide a training log. Will provider work solo? Yes Seeking Licensed Candidate: Yes Oregon license is required to be in hand at time of present in order to get someone in ASAP Required certifications Must be from AHA or American Red Cross as applicable BLS and ACLS Shift Info: Day 7x24-Hour 07:00 - 07:00
