IT Service Desk Representative

Location: Washington, D.C. - U.S. Capitol Complex

Schedule: Rotating shifts, 24/7 service desk

Are you passionate about helping users solve technical issues and keeping critical systems running smoothly? Apex Systems is hiring Tier 1 IT Service Desk Representatives to support technology operations for U.S. House offices in Washington, D.C. and nationwide. This is a great opportunity to work in a fastpaced, highimpact environment supporting a wide range of hardware, software, and mobile technologies.

What You'll Do
  • Provide Tier 1 technical support via phone, chat, remote tools, and occasional onsite visits
  • Troubleshoot Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, printers, and peripherals
  • Support Office 365, COTS applications, and Houseapproved software
  • Assist users with VPN, RSA SecurID, Cisco AnyConnect, and secure remote access
  • Create and update documentation and knowledge base articles
  • Communicate service alerts and updates across multiple channels
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 or engineering teams when needed
  • Contribute to ongoing projects and process improvements
What We're Looking For (MustHaves)
  • Experience supporting Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android
  • Ability to troubleshoot PCs, Macs, mobile devices, printers, and COTS software
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Familiarity with networking basics and TCP/IP troubleshooting
  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and mobile OS support
  • Experience with MDM tools (JAMF, ABM, Workspace ONE, Intune)
  • Ability to work independently and lift up to 50 lbs when needed
  • Must be an authorized U.S. worker and able to pass a U.S. Capitol Police background check
NicetoHave Skills
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+
  • ITIL or M365 certifications
  • Experience in IT call center environments
  • Relevant IT degree or additional industry certifications
Work Environment
  • Onsite at the U.S. Capitol Complex in Washington, D.C.
  • 24/7 service desk with rotating shift schedules (most roles fall under Shift 1)
  • Fastpaced, customerfocused environment supporting executivelevel staff
