Warehouse Associate

Partners Personnel Management

Position Summary :
The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for a variety of warehouse tasks, including receiving, storing, organizing, picking, packing, and shipping products. This role requires physical work, attention to detail, and teamwork to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse. Warehouse Associates play a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely fulfillment of orders.

Key Responsibilities :

Receiving and Storing Products :
Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and checking for damages.
Unload trucks, sort items, and store products in their designated warehouse locations.
Record and log inventory in the warehouse management system (WMS) or other tracking tools.

Inventory Management :
Help maintain accurate inventory levels through regular counts and inventory reconciliation.
Ensure proper organization of stock and materials to optimize space and improve accessibility.
Order Picking and Packing :
Pick products based on customer orders or internal requests, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and protection during transit.
Shipping and Distribution :
Prepare and stage orders for delivery or pickup, ensuring that all necessary documentation is included.
Load products onto trucks or delivery vehicles for outbound shipments.
Material Handling and Equipment Operation :
Use warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials safely and efficiently.
Operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Warehouse Maintenance and Safety :
Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe environment.
Follow all safety protocols, including wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safe lifting techniques.
Team Collaboration and Communication :
Work effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to meet daily goals and deadlines.
Communicate effectively to report inventory issues, damages, or discrepancies to management.
