Operations Manager – Cannabis/Hemp Extraction

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily production and warehouse operations at a hemp extraction and processing facility. The ideal candidate will have experience managing manufacturing teams, improving production efficiency, maintaining inventory, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Experience in cannabis or hemp extraction, chemical processing, or other regulated manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily production operations and ensure production targets are achieved.
- Plan production schedules based on customer demand, staffing, materials, and equipment availability.
- Supervise production employees, team leaders, and warehouse staff.
- Oversee receiving, storage, shipping, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, cGMP requirements, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor production output, product quality, equipment performance, and operating costs.
- Work with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve production issues.
- Train employees, improve team performance, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve productivity, and minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain accurate production records, inventory reports, and compliance documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- 6+ years of manufacturing experience.
- 3+ years of experience leading production or plant operations.
- Experience managing multi-shift or continuous manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of OSHA, cGMP, production planning, inventory control, and workplace safety.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Fort Lupton, CO.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cannabis/hemp extraction, pharmaceutical, chemical, food and beverage, or dietary supplement manufacturing.
- Knowledge of extraction, distillation, filtration, liquid processing, or solvent-based manufacturing.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems, CMMS, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and root cause analysis.
- Experience managing warehouse operations, maintenance, purchasing, or quality-related activities.
