Building Engineer 3/Stationary EngineerJoin our team as a Building Engineer 3/Stationary Engineer to support the new addition of the New Horizon Tower, a 7-story expansion. This role involves working on a rotating schedule between 7am-3:30pm and 3pm-11:30pm, with initial training on the first shift for 1-3 months before transitioning to the second shift.ResponsibilitiesComplete work orders and preventative maintenance throughout the hospital.Occasionally work shifts in the Central Utility Plant under supervision of an MD 1st Grade Engineer.Inspect equipment to detect routine malfunctions, read meters and gauges, perform tests, and record data.Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Essential SkillsMD 3rd Grade Stationary Engineer License or DC 3rd with reciprocity within 6 months.High School Diploma or GED.Valid Driver's License.5 years of trades experience directly related to the specified duties; 7 years preferred.Certification in 4 building systems, or 20 years of experience may substitute certifications.Additional Skills & QualificationsJourneyman License in Plumbing, HVAC, or Electric.Experience with troubleshooting HVAC, Boiler, VAV, and other mechanical systems.Gasfitter and Journeyman Plumber experience.Knowledge of maintenance techniques for chillers and plumbing fixtures.Why Work Here?Our organization is a strong and stable hospital in Montgomery County, offering a consistent and long-term career path.
