Manufacturing Quality Technician

Location: Polkton, NC Company: Southern Fabricators, Inc. Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: Second Shift ($3 shift differential)

Are you someone who takes pride in accuracy, consistency, and high-quality workmanship? We're looking for a detail-oriented Manufacturing Quality Technician to support our production team by ensuring products meet internal standards and customer requirements.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on inspection work, data analysis, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to maintain and improve product quality.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies
• Measure components using calipers, tape measures, micrometers, and other precision instruments
• Record, track, and analyze inspection data using Microsoft Excel
• Prepare quality reports, charts, and trend analyses as needed
• Communicate inspection results and quality concerns with production, engineering, and quality teams
• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action efforts
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and customer specifications

Your attention to detail will play a key role in maintaining product reliability and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

What We're Looking For

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
• Hands-on experience using quality inspection tools and measuring instruments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality assurance practices
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality technician or similar role
• Familiarity with ISO or other quality management systems
