I’m working with an applied AI research lab building an AI-driven investor — essentially a “zero-person hedge fund” capable of decomposing financial questions, writing data-science code, and generating real investment insight.

You’ll be working directly with founders who have built and scaled globally impactful companies .

We are seeking a Founding / Senior Software Engineer to help design and build core systems powering an AI-driven financial intelligence platform. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role working directly with the founders to improve the intelligence, reliability, and capabilities of the company’s applied AI systems.

You’ll ship production code quickly, reason holistically about system improvements, and play a key role shaping the technical direction of an early-stage AI company. This is a high-agency builder role , not a narrow feature role.

• Own and deliver core system improvements from concept through architecture, implementation, and production
• Design and improve AI agent workflows including orchestration, evaluation loops, traceability, and output quality
• Build and maintain Python backend systems that support rapid experimentation and applied AI development
• Identify high-leverage opportunities to improve system intelligence and platform capabilities
• Collaborate closely with founders to shape product direction and technical architecture
• Ship production systems quickly while maintaining strong engineering judgment and reliability
• Operate effectively in an AI-native development environment while maintaining strong software engineering fundamentals

What They’re Looking For

✔ 3–8+ years of software engineering experience typically performs best

✔ Ability to reason about systems holistically , not just individual features

✔ Comfortable working in a small, high-ownership startup environment
