Senior Accountant – Technical Accounting

A leading global healthcare products and supply chain organization is adding a Senior Accountant to its Corporate Accounting team. This is a high-visibility opportunity focused on equity accounting, stock-based compensation, EPS and SEC reporting, with significant exposure to complex accounting matters and cross-functional projects.

\n

\n

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical accounting and complex transactions and wants to work on high-impact initiatives within a large, growing organization.

\n

What You'll Do:

\n

\n
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations related to equity transactions
\n
• Calculate quarterly stock-based compensation expense, EPS and income attributable to noncontrolling interests
\n
• Support financial statement footnotes and assigned areas of SEC filings
\n
• Research complex accounting matters and prepare accounting memos
\n
• Analyze transactions involving significant accounting judgments and estimates
\n
• Support internal controls over financial reporting and process improvement initiatives
\n
• Partner cross-functionally on new business initiatives, system integrations and other major changes impacting financial reporting
\n
• Collaborate with Corporate Accounting and Consolidations/Reporting teams on technical accounting matters
\n
• Support tax, audit and other ad hoc reporting requests
\n

What We're Looking For:

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
\n
• 2+ years of corporate or manufacturing accounting experience
\n
• Strong understanding of GAAP
\n
• Advanced Excel skills, including functions such as Power Query, Power Pivot, INDEX/MATCH and pivot tables
\n
• Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
\n
• Experience with technical accounting or external reporting is a plus
\n
• Experience with SEC reporting or public accounting experience with public-company clients is a plus
\n
• Experience with stock-based compensation, equity accounting or EPS is a plus
\n
• Experience with SOX 404 controls is a plus
\n
• CPA or Master's degree in Accounting is strongly preferred
\n
