Cocktail Server

Server PositionWe are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide an exceptional experience to our guests, demonstrating a deep understanding of our menu and excellent customer service skills. You should also be available to work in shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays (Blackout Dates for no time off requests may include, but are not limited to: St. Patrick's Day weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, Labor Day Weekend, New Years Eve).Requirements:Provide excellent customer service to ensure guest satisfaction; check in with guests throughout their experience to ensure satisfaction, address any issues or requests, and provide attentive service.Maintain a neat, organized front-of-house environment; keep tables, dining areas, and service stations clean and organized, following health and safety regulations.Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as outlinedProtect establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies (BASSET & Food Handler Certifications; any additional certifications as required)Welcome guests warmly, accurately take orders, and serve items promptly to guests.Maintain a strong understanding of the menu, including specials and dietary options, to make informed recommendations and answer guest questions.Check guests' identification to confirm they meet the legal drinking age requirements and refuse service to those who are underage or visibly intoxicated. Take and serve drink orders and up-sell and cross-sell products; check beverages for quality and presentation before serving to guestsCheck back on guests to ensure quality satisfaction with serviceRespond appropriately to customer complaints and bring any issues to a managerHandle guest payments accurately, including cash and credit card transactions, using the point-of-sale (POS) system.Conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of venue; invite guests to returnWork closely with other staff to ensure timely service, and assist other staff as needed.Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Ability to interact with guests and provide excellent customer serviceStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and friendly attitude.Problem-solving and conflict management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.Knowledge and passion for Chicago nightlife a plus!Ability to lift/move up to 40lbsAbility to stand/walk for entire shiftFlexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Other Requirements:Must be at least 21 years of ageMust have flexible/late-night/weekend availabilityMust provide or be willing to obtain both BASSET & Food Handler certificationsBenefits: $12.62/hr plus tips; Paid Weekly, Venue Discounts, M/D/V/L, 401K ILSC
