Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatrician to join their hospital-employed team in Portsmouth, OH. The position offers flexible scheduling options, comprehensive benefits, and excellent bonus incentives. Providers will work alongside a collaborative team of physicians and APPs providing patient-centered care. Practice Info Practice Location SOMC Pediatric Associates, Portsmouth, OH Staffing: 7 Physicians, 9 APP's, Office Manager, MOAs, LPNs Case Load: 25 patients per day Equipment: POC testing (Lead, Hgb, Urine, Bilirubin, Strep, Flu, Pregnancy, O2, Nebulizers) Lab Service located on site Hospital Beds: 248 staffed; Service Area: over 250,000; Not-for-profit established 1966; Employs: over 3,000; Medical Staff: 300+ Responsibilities Nursery rounding and call coverage (split weeks among 5 providers F-Sun and M-Thurs) Perform procedures including Wart Removal, Casting, Ear Irrigation, Ingrown toenails, I&D, and Cryotherapy Perform Nursery Procedures including NRP, Attendance at higher risk deliveries, newborn airway management, Umbilical line placement, and stabilization while awaiting transfer Compensation Sign on Bonus: 15% of base salary up to $100,000 (paid when contract signed and forgiven over 2-4 years) Bonus Incentives: excellent bonus incentives up to 10% of salary Residency Stipend: up to $25,000 (requires up to 2 year service commitment) Benefits Vacation: 29 paid days off (PTO days) Additional 5 days when producing 75%tile wRVUs CME/Books & Journals: 5 days PTO and up to $5000 Medical School Loan Repayment: repay up to $200,000 ($25,000 per year for each year of service commitment) Deferred compensation: 457b plan. Defer compensation up to IRS limit of $24,500 year before taxes. No matching Retirement / Savings Plan: 403b plan. Defer compensation up to IRS limit of $24,500 year before taxes under age 50 and $31,000 for over age 50. SOMC matches dollar for dollar up to 2% of base pay Moving Expense: $10,000 paid to moving company Malpractice Insurance Coverage: in a claims made insurance, in an amount of $2,000,000, per claim/$6,000,000, aggregate Health Insurance: provider pays small premium, deducted from paycheck Shift & Schedule 2-year contract Office Hours: Sunday-Fri 8:00am - 8:00pm Schedule options: (5) 8's or (4) 10's or (3) 12's Qualifications Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatrician Liquidated Damages: 70 mile and 2 year non-compete clause or liquidated damages of one year salary All employment is contingent upon passing the post-offer physical examination, drug test, and criminal background investigation
