Location: Columbus, OH 43235 Pay Rate: $18.00/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Some weekends, holidays, and overtime may be required based on business needs. Advance notice will be provided whenever possible.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Processing Associate to support payroll operations by processing manual check requests and working within internal payroll systems to help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. Training will be provided on company-specific systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, analytical, able to maintain confidentiality, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process manual payroll check requests using internal payroll systems
• Learn and utilize company payroll applications and web-based platforms (training provided)
• Work with payroll data while maintaining strict confidentiality
• Research and assist with payroll-related questions and discrepancies
• Communicate professionally with internal and external contacts
• Interpret payroll-related documentation and management communications
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain attention to detail
• Support payroll processing for both union and non-union wage plans (training provided)
• Work scheduled overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access (primarily for data entry)
• Payroll experience is preferred but not required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Proficient keyboarding and 10-key calculator skills with minimal errors
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Positive attitude, strong dependability, and willingness to learn
• Flexibility to work outside the regular schedule when needed
