Talon Hiring Solutions has a client in Birmingham, Alabama area that is looking for a full time Senior Steel Detailer to join the team. This position is for a detailer that understands structural steel, fabrication and constructibility. What you will do Prepare detailed shop and erection drawings for structural steel projects Detail steel for power substations, equipment supports, H-Frames, A-Frames and other heavy utility structures Generate accurate bills of material (BOMs) Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams Ensure compliance with AISC standards and project specifications Review and incorporate field and fabrication feedback What you will bring 5+ years of steel detailing experience Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting platforms Solid understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection practices Ability to work in-office and collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams Familiarity with AISC standards Substation or power utility detailing experience preferred but not required Experience with Tekla, SDS/2, or #D modeling platforms preferred but not required #J-18808-Ljbffr
