About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Valid Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM Must-Have: Previous charge experience and familiarity with the Epic charting system Description: Responsible for providing high-quality care to patients during labor and delivery. Must manage high-risk labor and delivery situations, including antepartum care. Experience with complications such as pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and multiple births is required. Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols. Assist with all aspects of labor and delivery, including vaginal and cesarean births. Support patient and family education on care and discharge processes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and protocols in labor and delivery. Must be willing to work weekends and float to other units as necessary. Expected patient-to-nurse ratios are approximately 1:2 for labor and 1:3 for antepartum patients. Participation in holiday coverage is required.
