Opportunity:

RN - OR

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Weeknight call requirement of 1 night per week from whenever cases end until 6:30 AM the following day
• Weekend call requirement: Friday 6:30 PM through Monday 6:30 AM, every 3rd to 4th weekend
• Holiday expectations: travelers expected to work majority of holidays, 2 of 3 for winter holidays
• Call response time of 30 minutes required
• 6 OR suites and 2 GI suites with an average of 12 cases per day
• Common cases include Total Joints, ORIFs, Tendon Repairs, Hernia, Cholecystectomy, Appendectomy, Robotic Bowel Resection, Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Tonsil and Adenoids (pediatrics), Cataracts, and Blepharoplasty
• General Surgery, Orthopedics (total joints), Robotics experience required; GI experience preferred
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
• Must have prior travel experience
• Scrubbing preferred but not required
• OR techs available on unit
• Charting system: Cerner
• Occasional float opportunities to ED, Med/Surg, or LTC depending on comfort level
• Gray scrubs required, provided by the facility
• Up to 4 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation including cataracts
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility

This acute care facility operates at a Trauma Level 4 designation and provides a wide range of surgical services across multiple operating room and GI suites. The facility supports a high-volume surgical environment with diverse case types spanning general surgery, orthopedics, robotics, and endoscopic procedures. The department is supported by OR technicians, charge nurses, and CRNAs, fostering a collaborative and well-resourced clinical environment.
