Pharmacy Director - Omaha, Nebraska

This Interim Pharmacist in Charge/Director of Pharmacy position supports an inpatient behavioral health setting, focusing on leadership and daily pharmacy operations. The role begins on May 18 and continues until a permanent hire is made, offering a flexible contract opportunity. The schedule involves Monday through Friday shifts, approximately 6 hours per day.
Key responsibilities include managing the pharmacy team, overseeing medication preparation and distribution, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will contribute by optimizing automated systems for drug packaging and restocking, improving overall pharmacy workflow.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Iowa
- Experience with Omnicell systems preferred
- Familiarity with repackaging using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL platforms is desirable
- Basic knowledge of loading medications into automated machines and running restock reports
- Strong leadership and organizational skills in a pharmacy setting
- Council Bluffs, IA
- Monday through Friday schedule, providing a balanced workweek
